Aileronair

Fuel is usually the largest single line on a trip, and the process around it is where a great deal of avoidable cost and friction sits. Aileron Air arranges Jet A-1 uplift, issues the fuel release, sequences the bowser into your turnaround and consolidates everything onto one invoice.

What We Arrange

  • Jet A-1 uplift at Indian, South Asian and UAE airports, and worldwide through our associate network
  • Fuel releases issued and confirmed to the into-plane agent before your arrival
  • Credit arrangements so your crew is not settling fuel on the ramp with a card
  • Price comparison across available suppliers where more than one operates at the airport
  • Supervised uplift — our ramp supervisor witnesses the uplift and checks the delivery ticket against the order
  • Tankering advice where price differentials along your route make carrying extra fuel worthwhile

How Fuel Arrangement Works

  1. Send us the routing, aircraft type and estimated uplift per stop.
  2. We return available suppliers and pricing at each airport, including into-plane fees and applicable taxes, within four hours.
  3. On your approval we issue the fuel release and confirm it to the handler and into-plane agent.
  4. Our supervisor witnesses the uplift and verifies the delivery ticket at the aircraft.
  5. You receive one consolidated invoice covering the trip.

Why Operators Route Fuel Through Us

No card on the ramp. Crews should not be negotiating payment at 2 a.m. in a country whose invoicing conventions they do not know.

One invoice, one currency conversation. Rather than a folder of local receipts for your finance team to reconcile. Systematic accounts administration for operations to and from India is a core part of what we do.

The uplift is witnessed. Delivery ticket checked against the order at the aircraft, every time. A discrepancy caught on the ramp can still be fixed; one caught in the invoice a month later cannot.

Transparent pricing. You see the fuel cost and our coordination fee separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you supply fuel yourselves? We arrange and coordinate fuel rather than physically supplying it. We hold arrangements with fuel suppliers and into-plane agents, issue the release, supervise the uplift and consolidate billing. For you the effect is one point of contact and one invoice.

How much notice do you need for a fuel uplift? For a routine uplift at a major Indian airport, 24 to 48 hours is comfortable. Remote airfields, unusually large quantities and out-of-hours uplifts need more. AOG and medevac movements are handled immediately.

Can we get credit rather than paying at each stop? Yes, and it is one of the main reasons operators route fuel through us. Speak to our desk about setting up a credit account before your first trip.

Do you advise on tankering? Yes. Where price differentials along your routing make carrying additional fuel worthwhile we will show you the comparison — and we will tell you when it is not worth it.

Is fuel available at smaller Indian airports? Availability varies. Some airfields require advance arrangement or operate restricted fuelling hours. Send us the routing and we will confirm each stop before you plan around it.

Who checks the fuel delivery ticket? Our ramp supervisor, at the aircraft, against the order. This is included in supervised handling rather than charged as an extra.
