A good flight plan saves fuel, avoids the airspace that will cost an hour, and puts the aircraft where it needs to be without a diversion. Aileron Air’s dispatch desk builds the plan, files it, briefs the crew and watches the flight until it is on blocks. Our flight dispatch officers work H24.
What We Provide
Computerised flight plans
Route options with fuel burn, time and payload comparisons, built around your aircraft type and performance data. Where a shorter routing costs more in overflight charges than it saves in fuel, we show you both figures and let you decide.
Route planning and airspace advice
Airway availability, airspace restrictions and closures, curfews and alternate selection. Routings through Mumbai FIR (VABBF) and Chennai FIR (VOMFF) are our daily work, and regional airspace across South Asia and the Middle East changes frequently — routing that worked last quarter may not work this week.
International and domestic weather briefings
Departure, en route, destination and alternate weather, significant weather charts, winds aloft, and seasonal advisories including the southwest monsoon and Bay of Bengal cyclone activity, both of which materially affect Indian operations between June and November.
NOTAM briefings
Filtered and relevant. We flag what actually affects your route, destination and alternates rather than sending a hundred pages of raw output for your crew to sift.
Filing and ATC coordination
ATC flight plan filing, slot coordination where required, and liaison with ATC units and airport authorities. We confirm acceptance back to you rather than assuming the filing went through.
Flight watch
Active monitoring while airborne, with proactive alerts when something downstream changes — weather deteriorating at destination, a runway closure, a slot movement — and coordination of the response while the aircraft is still in the air.
Who Uses Our Dispatch Service
Charter operators without an in-house dispatch function. Corporate flight departments needing regional expertise for a route they fly rarely. Air ambulance operators who need a plan in an hour rather than a day. Government and special mission flights where routing carries constraints beyond the operational.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you file flight plans on our behalf? Yes. We file ATC flight plans, coordinate with ATC units and airport authorities, and confirm acceptance back to you.
Do you provide flight watch after departure? Yes. Our desk monitors the flight and alerts you to changes downstream, then coordinates the response — a revised slot, an alternate arrangement, an adjustment to handling at destination.
Can you plan for aircraft types you have not handled before? Yes, working from performance data supplied by you or drawn from your operations manual. Send us the type and we will confirm what data we need.
How does dispatch connect to your other services? Our dispatch desk and trip coordinators work together. If weather forces a diversion, permits, handling and crew hotels are being adjusted while the aircraft is still airborne rather than after it lands.
Do you provide weather and NOTAM briefings as a standalone service? Yes. International and domestic weather and NOTAM briefing is available on its own for operators who handle their own planning but want regional interpretation.
